Q. How do I tell which technology my heater uses, spark plug or HSI technology?

A. You must know this to repair & order parts. Here is a easy, sure-fire way to read the right stuff without being confused.

Before you do anything, unplug the heater, and remove the screws that attach the top cover to the heater. Remove the top cover. This will expose the Ignition component which provides the method of igniting the fuel and is located at the end of the combustion chamber nearest the fan. You will see the air hose from the air pump and the fuel suction hose in the vicinity.
